In 2002 A.S.A.O. (Association du Sénégal et de l’Afrique de l’Ouest ) created their program L’Empire des Enfants. Renting and restoring an abandoned cinema in Dakar, Senegal they created a center to help homeless children from the streets of Dakar by providing them with shelter, meals, education and training programs.

Concurrently A.S.A.O. developed a program in Djenné, Mali supporting a women’s co-operative that makes bracelets from recycled rubber. These women are paid by A.S.A.O. over three times the going rate for the bracelets, thus providing them with a viable means of support. In turn, A.S.A.O. sells the bracelets to raise funds for L'Empire des Enfants.

Made with Love supports this dual structure that provides aid to both women and children in West Africa and is devoted to increasing revenues for these projects through direct consumer sales and by arranging strategic marketing alliances.
